A Lifelong Love of Nature
A bit about me...
I began learning to make jewellery as an stress-relieving hobby back in 2016. I found a wonderful tutor in nearby Southampton and embarked the most fabulous learning journey which hasn’t really stopped since – and, let’s be honest, probably never will!
Living where we do in rural South Wiltshire on the edge of the New Forest there is inspiration every time I look out of the window. We’ve lived here all our children’s lives and consider ourselves incredibly lucky to have such diverse wildlife right on the doorstep.
Before staring to make jewellery I think I had largely forgotten that I even had a creative side, forgotten about the hours I spent while living in the Highlands of Scotland stripping the copper out of old electric cables to make earrings with! Age and life experience have definitely helped me to come to understand just how important it is to engage and indulge that side of me – it’s just good for the soul.
I’ve always held a deep interest and respect for wildlife and our environment so its really wonderful to be able to create little homages to some of the beautiful plants and animals around us – I really hope you can see some of that love and appreciation in my work.
